Greetings in the name of the Lord,
I want to thank each member of our church for your faithfulness to our Lord and His church over the past two months. It is safe to say, that the work of the Lord has continued even when we could not meet together. The time for our church to regather in corporate worship is rapidly approaching.
The leadership of our church has tentatively chosen May 31 to resume our congregational worship service. By this date, we will be able to comply with all the governor's recommendations for churches. In order to maintain proper social distancing and be as safe as possible, we will have two morning services at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The chairs have been arranged in a way that will allow for six feet of social distancing. One of the ways to ensure social distancing is for families to sit together. We are asking that you to keep two empty chairs between families. All are encouraged to wear their masks and gloves during the service if this makes you more comfortable. We will not immediately have Sunday School or nursery. There will be greeters at the door explaining seating arrangements and social distancing policies. The chairs, along with all hard surfaces, will be disinfected between services.
The 10:30 a.m. service will be live streamed online for the convenience of those who are not yet comfortable in crowds for various reasons. You are highly encouraged to stay home and be a part of our online worship service if you are in the high-risk group or live with someone who is. Please wait until you or your family are comfortable before returning to church.
It is not our desire to ask our members to choose between being in the building on May 31, or worshiping online. Our desire is that we all be together in the way that works best for each family. For some, it will be the sanctuary, but for others, online might be best at this time. Either way, we will worship the Lord together again.
